What this category covers
Cosmetic and prosthodontic implants go beyond a single tooth replacement. This is the work involved when someone needs a full smile rebuilt: implant-supported crowns and bridges placed with an eye toward how they look next to natural teeth, full-arch restorations (sometimes called All-on-4 or All-on-6), implant-retained dentures, and cases where a prosthodontist coordinates with an oral surgeon or periodontist to sequence bone grafting, implant placement, and final restoration. It's a different skill set than routine dental work. The provider needs to plan the final result before touching the jaw, matching shade, gum contour, bite, and facial proportions so the outcome doesn't just function but looks right.
What to look for in a provider
Ask how many full-arch or multi-implant cosmetic cases the practice handles in a typical year, not just how many single implants they place. Look for in-house digital planning (CBCT scans, guided surgery) and a clear answer on who handles the surgical placement versus the restorative crown work, since some practices split this between specialists and some do both under one roof. Get a written breakdown of cost by phase (extraction, graft, implant, abutment, crown) and ask what happens if a graft fails or an implant doesn't integrate. Photos of past cosmetic cases, not just before-and-after single crowns, tell you more than a star rating alone.
How we score the 21 providers
Our ranking weighs the same things a careful patient would check: verified credentials and specialty training, review patterns specific to cosmetic and full-mouth cases, transparency around pricing and treatment planning, and how consistently a practice follows up on complex, multi-visit cases. See the full ranked guide to cosmetic implant dentistry in Easley for the breakdown, and read our methodology for exactly how each factor is weighted.
